11/3/09 Get out the fossil books and begin tagging the fossils that are on the list for this year. It would be a good idea to first familiarize yourself with how to use the field books before you begin searching for the fossils within them.
State Competition- We had a bit of difficulty in the fossils state competition. Since I was not familiar to how the competition went, I was confused at times. We also thought that this test was much harder than the regional. Tony did a good job with the book, but the binder was not organized well, and we only used one paper from it. That is how the state competition went for fossils.

As a team of 4 make fossil name cards for each fossil on the list. We need these as soon as possible to organize our fossil collection.
Cut index cards in half and use one for each fossil-examples follow (don't put a number on the card, spelling counts and consider typing the info and then cutting and pasting it on the cards)-Mrs. Lakocy
